I've got an external USB 3.0 drive waiting for me when I get back to WI and not a single USB 3 port to plug it into. I'm thinking of getting two cards, one for my server, and one for my Win 7 PC. Just in case I want to move the drive around a little.

What would you recommend?

I've had good luck with the Western Digital USB 3.0 PCIe Card in my Microserver.

Paul (tinkerguy) has used this card. I bought one as well but have not tried it. Paul had bench marked these and was very happy with it.

Nice looking card -- I like the 4 ports! You planning to do a review in the future?

The newegg reviews on this card are certainly a lot better than the previous HighPoint USB3 card. I considered it and then rejected it because of the huge number of bad reviews. Glad this one seems to be a lot better. I went with the WD card and it seems to be good.

If at first you don't succeed, do it like your mother told you.
