http://technet.micro...e/hh710279.aspx I was trolling thru some RSS Feeds from TechNet and saw this.

I don't know why this never occurred to me that you could even do this, any maybe a lot of you knew you could, but this is a terrific way to add a backup drive for the server backup.

I am thinking I could take say a 500 GB drive, create two VHD's, and swap the server backups between the VHD's. As you will see in the video, you will be able to reattach the VHD to the host and offload the backups for safe storage.

Looks good to me. I just ran a backup for my Hyper-V WHS box that took all of 5 minutes to run.
