Anyone know if there are any cases out there that support the USB 3 Headers in the newer sandy bridge motherboards? I am not talking about the pass thru method of running a cable to the back of the case. I am talking about the header that you would plug in for the front ports.

Some of the ASUS board come with an adapter. But there aren't any cases out right now with the actual USB 3 female header yet. I believe corsair is going to retro fit all of their case and will ship them later this month or early May.

This was a disappointing fact when I purchased my new case. I was looking for a case with a USB 3.0 header up front and decided to just get a cable that I will attach to the MB. Not pretty but will be easier.

My Lian Li case is set up for USB 3.0 ports in the front. However, I can't find a header to run from the MB to the front ports. If you know where to get the 20 pin (or is it 20+1) cable please do tell.

My new motherboard, Gigabyte GA-H55-USB3, has two USB3 ports on the back of the MB but the internal headers are all USB2.

Looks like none are available now but it seems some of the case manufacturers are working on this either as an accessory or updating their models and it just a matter of how soon they become available.

That looks to be what I need. Hard to tell because I can't see what the header plugin looks like. I will have to investigate further. Thanks for sharing.

Edit: It may not be it after all. It calls it a 20 pin connector. My Asus MB calls it a 20-1 pin USB3_34. Counting the pins on the MB, there is only 19. I guess that is 20 minus 1????

I think it's right. If you click on the picture in the listing there's another picture and in the background there's a picture of it plugged into a board and the board has USB3_34 printed on it.

I hope it works, I've ordered one already .

I ordered mine form here. They said it will be three weeks. I live in China but I think it would be quite expensive to get it from here from the rest of the world. At least there's something in the pipeline :)

The HAF has the same USB3.0 connectors all the other cases have. It still needs to plug into an external header.

The confusion may have been that while New Eggs page for the new "Advanced" HAF was correct with their pics and description when they linked to the Manufactures page they were linking to the old HAF -- when you go to the Advanced HAF page [that New Egg should have been linking to] the 3.0 USBs are listed in the specs and are visible in the pictures -- the Gallery Pictures at the bottom of the page have a higher resolution of the 2*3.0 panel that fits into a 5.25 drive bay. In the Gallery Pic the new MB connector for the 3.0 is visible.

I'm not 100% sure, but I heard PCI express bus is slower than native USB 3. If this is true, it may be better to use the native USB connector from your MB than to use a PCIe adaptor.
