During the St. Louis meetup, the gang had a brief interchange surrounding problems with MCE tuners and whether to go with internal (PCI/PCIe), external USB or external network (HD Homerun). I forgot what a pain that could all be, so I thought I'd toss something out there for those looking...

I bought the AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet last year when it came out, and it's been a create PCIe card in my HTPC. It is a dual-tuner card with a single connector, and it supports both ATSC and ClearQAM. I've used both ATI and Hauppage tuners in the past, and the duet seems to deliver a better picture all around. It's easy to setup in MCE, and it doesn't have all the crap bundled software you'd expect.

Overall, if you're looking for an internal card for either digital over-the-air or digital cable, this is worth checking out.
