I would like to formally announcing Meetup 2016!

This year it will be on September 17th.  The location is the same as 2015 and at 8900 Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis IN 46240 Map here.  I will get some photos posted up so you can see all the fun we had last year!  Trust me, this is a fun event. I hope we can get all you guys that couldn't make it last year.

There will be a limited amount of tickets available.  I will post up the ticket sales later but go ahead and secure your travel and accomodations.  I have secured this weekend 100%.  A ticket will be required to enter. I require this since I will have it catered and one year we had a bunch of no shows. I was eating BBQ for months after that meetup!

Here is the schedule for the weekend:

    Friday
5:00 PM HSS HQ Tour (the new HQ) - This is a special tour of my home and where I do the podcast. I'll also show you my network, the racks, the boxes, and interconnectivity.  It's going to be a big tour this year!  This ticket is available to all PayPal and Patreon donors.  If you are any level of Patreon you are invitied to this tour.
    7:00 Dinner/Drinks/Fun - TBA

    Saturday
    Meetup 2016 - 9 to 5 PM
    5:30 - 6:30 Microsoft Store Raid
    7:00 - Dinner/Drinks/Fun - TBA

    Sunday
    Waffle House Raid - TBA

    Accomodations

           Hyatt Place  9104 Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis, IN 46240 place.hyatt.com (317) 843-0064

Indianapolis Marriott North 3645 River Crossing Pkwy, Indianapolis, IN 46240 marriott.com (317) 705-0000

You don't have to use these but they are within walking distance to the venue and to a very nice mall, shopping, and restaraunts.

    Travel

There will be another thread in the Home Server Show Forums to arrange airport transportation and ride share.  If you are coming to the show and want some company on the drive please post in the forums.  A little gas money might not hurt!
If your flight arrives near another person you can also work on a carpool.  Several guys from past meetups have made airport runs on Friday but it helps if you can coordinate rides prior.  The airport is a good 30 to 45 minute drive from the hotel. Be wary of Friday rush hour traffic. From the airport to the meetup area will be congested.

    Sponsors
Meetup 2016 is also open to corporate sponsorship.  If you or your company would like more information about sponsoring the Meetup or sponsoring lunch please drop me a line or PM me here in the forums.  This is your best way to get your gear front and center at Meetup 2016.  You are free to use the contact form on the blog at HomeServerShow.com.

    Gear Demo
If you or your company would like to demonstrate your product please contact me.  I have some room to provide you space to place your gear and plenty of companies have shipped items in for me to show off. We might even ship them back to you! Contact me and we'll talk.

    Give Away Items
Meetup 2016 is now accepting items as give away to attendees of the meetup.  If you would like to provide items please contact me.  You are free to use the contact form on the blog at HomeServerShow.com.  You can provide high dollar items for premier prizes down to T-Shirts and specialty advertising items.

    Meetup 2016 Swap Meet
Attendees are free to bring items to sell or trade. Storage gear, laptops, anything.

    Presentations
If you need table space to show your gear please contact me. We have a limited amount of space and it goes fast.  If you have an idea for a formal presentation please contact me. There is VERY limited time for these presentations so that we can have a nice open day and not super fast paced.  We have tried that before and most prefer the open time in order to chat and see all the gear they can.

I'm looking forward to this one! I look forward to seeing my friends.  I hope you will all be able to attend.

    Dave

    UPDATE 1

Get your Meetup 2016 Ticket on Patreon right now!  http://patreon.com/davidmccabe Enjoy other rewards as well at the same time supporting the community.  It's a crazy way to charge for Meetup because I am putting every Patreon dollar back into the community!

The $5 Patron Award also includes a ticket to Meetup 2016. If you are at this level and want to attend Meetup 2016 read this thread: http://homeserversho....php?/topic/... and e-mail me.
I need to know you are coming so please RSVP. I purchase catering off of this so don't RSVP if you truly will not attend.

Definitely planning to go again. Love it that we are back in the Microsoft space. That worked out great for us last year!

I just booked my room at the Hyatt Place for the event. I look forward to seeing everyone there. I will have some questions about the Ring doorbell and other IoT. I also look forward to see what projects people have been working on.

Is anyone interested in a presentation on HDTV calibration? I can bring my sensor and laptop with CalMan software and explain/demo on the presentation tv (or VinylFreak's tv if he brings it again).
