In this post you can find Hi-Resolution photos of the EX470. They may help you navigate during the upgrade or get acquainted with the inside of your server prior to attempting the upgrade.

Jim Collison and I filmed it and he has a good post about this “demo-lition” with tons of photos here. If you haven’t seen the first video where I burned an ioSafe in my back yard you will certainly want to view that here! I talked with CEO Robb Moore about the burn in episode 48.

The second video is an interview that Chris Lux did with Icy Dock. They have some cool stuff that Home Server users will want to see. Stay tuned to homeservershow.com for more discussion on the Icy Dock products.

Here is something a little different for us at homeservershow.com. Tell me what you think of this format of video and presentation.

Powermat was only open to press so I thought I would publish a small piece about the product. It’s not due out until late 2009 and the models I looked at were all hand made. Look for the case surrounding the Blackberry. The case holds the technology that allows the battery to charge wirelessly. It looks like a promising technology but it’s got some things to work out. When the market moves to a battery that has this built in I think you will see this kind of stuff take off.

Feel free to comment on Powermat and if you like this format of reporting/presentation. The YouTube edition is after the click.

From Powermatusa.com

No more tangled mess of cords or searching for the right adaptor, simply place your enabled device on the Powermat to charge. Featuring a full range of wireless charging solutions for all your favorite devices, Powermat is compatible with iPhone, BlackBerry, MP3 players, cell phones, headsets, hand held electronic games, digital cameras, GPS units, and laptops. Whether you charge at home, at the office, on the road, or in all of these places, Powermat has a solution for you.

Powermat technology will revolutionize the way we charge.

Here is something a little different for us at homeservershow.com. Tell me what you think of this format of video and presentation.

Powermat was only open to press so I thought I would publish a small piece about the product. It's not due out until late 2009 and the models I looked at were all hand made. Look for the case surrounding the Blackberry. The case holds the technology that allows the battery to charge wirelessly. It looks like a promising technology but it's got some things to work out. When the market moves to a battery that has this built in I think you will see this kind of stuff take off.

Feel free to comment on Powermat and if you like this format of reporting/presentation. The YouTube edition is after the click.

From Powermatusa.com (http://powermatusa.com/)

No more tangled mess of cords or searching for the right adaptor, simply place your enabled device on the Powermat to charge. Featuring a full range of wireless charging solutions for all your favorite devices, Powermat is compatible with iPhone, BlackBerry, MP3 players, cell phones, headsets, hand held electronic games, digital cameras, GPS units, and laptops. Whether you charge at home, at the office, on the road, or in all of these places, Powermat has a solution for you.

Powermat technology will revolutionize the way we charge.</itunes:summary>

It’s a litle rough around the edges, much like my first podcasts were so hang in there. The first two minutes are mostly intro and then the video starts. If you have not seen inside of the MSS this is a good chance.

The whole process was fairly easy and I’ll show you some detailed close-ups of areas that have caused problems.

The RAM can be found at newegg.com. Follow this post for the details.

I’m testing the abilities of WordPress and video so things may change a bit. I recorded all of this with a Canon HG-10 Hi-Definition camera so if there is interest in higher resolution video I can get one made. As always, let me know what you think.

Part II will follow soon.
