I listened to your podcast as faithfully as ever and it broke my heart how disappointed Michael was with his experience on the Surface Pro :-( . I was very disappointed with the Surface RT when it first came out and then I patiently waited for the Lenovo Tablet 2. Now this will not disappoint Michael or anyone, unless you want to run apps like Photoshop and AutoCAD on it. The weigh and the battery life meet or beat the iPad easily. The ATOM processor is fine for most of my work and play activities. I installed Office 2013 on it and it runs beautifully. I have 64GB with an extra 64GB SD XC card in it. The Pen works nicely for taking notes and drawing rough sketches for my work. The USB port, although not good with an external drive (too little power) is fine for connecting a Harmony remote or a serial cable or even an Ethernet dongle. I need all of these for my work (I setup data centers and install AV equipment).

I did a small review of it on gdgt.com if you want more reasons to buy it. look for the Tablet 2 and the user Toeknee182.

Thanks for all the work you do on the podcast. I enjoy it tremendously.

Thanks! I read your review and it looks promising. I really like my SurfaceRT, but the digitizer on that tablet 2 is tempting. Still the atom lacks any real power, I did check out the Samsung and Asus Atom tablets recently. After seeing the specs for the Helix I still think it will be the first device to surpass my Yoga13 as my go to device and if it performs like I hope it will, its going to become my go to portable. Meaning both of my Surfaces will be scuttled.

Helix was one of the considerations but the weight of the Tablet 2 won as I have to carry this things through isles of storage and server arrays and do hour long presentations while annotating.

I will await your review of the Helix. Till then keep up the good work.
